15 Year Old Arrested Felony charge… False report of a bomb?

CHS student arrested after graffiti threat on bathroom wall

A Citrus High School student has been arrested this afternoon in Inverness after threatening drawings were discovered early Monday morning in one of the bathroom stalls at the school. School administration immediately took action and called the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office. After a brief investigation, school officials identified two male suspects that are students at CHS. Kaleb Rosenka, 15, of Inverness was arrested and charged with a felony, specifically Florida Statute 790.163(1) False report concerning planting a bomb, an explosive, or a weapon of mass destruction, or concerning the use of firearms in a violent manner. The second student, a 15 year old male from Inverness, has yet to be charged pending an investigation into the full extent of his involvement in this case. After talking with these two students and their parents, it has been determined that there is no credible threat to any students or staff at this time. CCSO, along with the school district worked quickly to extinguish this threat and make sure students and staff were safe.

We want our parents and community to know that these types of incidents at our schools will NOT be tolerated and are a priority. As with any threat – we are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our students on campus.
